Overview

The Sr. Channel Sales Manager wins, maintains, and expands relationships with new and assigned channel partners. The Channel Manager is responsible for achieving sales, profitability and partner recruitment objectives in their geographic market. The Sr. Channel Sales Manager reports to the Channel Director.

    Serve as the lead channel resource for multi-state territory.
  • Build and maintain partner ecosystem that will produce consistent revenue.
  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly sales objectives via partner base.
  • Qualify and distribute sales opportunities.
  • Partner recruitment & qualification to determine whether prospective partners fits the profile.
  • Effectively coordinate and team with Account Executives in the field to build and maintain partner relationships.
  • Provide sales support when required.
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully meet and exceed sales performance metrics (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
  • Be the lead for partner engagement, training, co-marketing and product awareness.
  • Responsible for field alignment; Partner, Account Executives, Alliance Partners, etc.
  • Manage performance metrics and conduct frequent reviews with field sales team; Opportunities, Sales Tracking and Funnel Management.
  • Drive engagement with Cloud Powered Alliance Partners/OEMs.
  • Familiarity and commitment to daily activity tracking in corporate CRM tool.
  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the IT industry, with the capacity to learn about individual systems and products quickly, and accurately, for marketing purposes.
  • Successfully differentiate TierPoint from competition.
  • Strong understanding of IT industry; Cloud Providers, Colocation (Retail & Wholesale), laaS, VARs and Manufacturers; Dell, Zerto, Pure, AWS, Azure, VMware.
  • The ability to learn quickly, and retain knowledge, is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity required.
  • Candidates who are self-motivated and have a strong work ethic are required.
Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of channel sales experience.
  • A driven, positive, upbeat attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Any background with advanced sales training systems is advantageous.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Strong personnel management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Existing relationships with Regional and National channel partners strongly preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment.
  • Travel to corporate and regional markets, national/partner events, and opportunity specific travel.
  • 50% or greater travel.

It's important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.

Pay Range $95,778.92 - $143,668.38
