CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Technician to join our Power & Manufacturing - Environmental Team at our office in Colonie, NY.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's engineers, ecologists and scientists partner with clients to develop practical solutions that strike the right balance between environmental sustainability, community needs and cost. We're uniquely qualified to assist with environmental services from initial site characterization through remediation. CHA draws on the expertise of technical professionals with decades of practical experience in environmental site assessment, brownfield remediation, and mitigation techniques.

The Environmental Technician assists with field sampling, survey and assessment activities, research, preparation, and creation of various types of reports. The professional in this role collaborates with Project Manager and Scientists on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

Our Environmental Technician performs data analysis, documents weekly/monthly activities for reporting purposes, and assists in the preparation of investigative reports, including tables and figures. This individual assists with completion of permits and positively interfaces with clients and regulatory agencies.

REQUIREMENTS
    Associate Degree in Environmental Science or related field required
  • No prior experience required; however, prior internships and/or applicable coursework preferred
  • Experience with ArcMap or basic GIS Mapping, AutoCAD, and/or Revit is a plus
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective scientific discipline
  • Demonstrates and promotes a positive attitude with a strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to perform work in the field through a variety of different conditions
  • Valid US driver's license required; must have reliable vehicle and be willing to travel to project sites
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor License or NYS Asbestos Inspection required
  • Project Designer certification is a plus
  • NYS Mold Assessor certification preferred
SALARY RANGE:

$55,000 - $65,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
