Job Description

Role Profile

Summary:

Attracting companies on a global basis to list and trade their equity securities (or certificates) on London Stock Exchange markets!

* Handling and supporting the community of c.1,800 listed issuers on LSE.

* Building and strengthening relations with key partner groups and influencers that support London's capital markets, including but not limited to sovereign wealth funds, private equity, venture capital, investment banks, law firms, audit firms and PR advisers.

* Maintaining and further enhancing LSE's markets to ensure we provide companies seeking admission to the London Stock Exchange with an industry leading client experience and journey.

Role description

This full time, New York-based hybrid position will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to play an important role in attracting issuers to London Stock Exchange's markets, which include Main Market and AIM.

* The role will be focused on supporting the Americas Primary Markets team (based in New York) with research, analytics and business development initiatives that will contribute directly to attracting issuers from the Americas to list on the London Stock Exchange.

* The successful candidate will report into the Americas Business Development Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Analysis of IPO market, with specific focus on comparison of UK vs. the US/Canada/LatAm exchanges and emphasis on equity performance, valuations, sector, shareholder and other analyses.

* Produce pitchbooks, data analytics and other bespoke materials for Primary Markets team to use in attracting new equity and investment fund listings to London Stock Exchange, and for engagement with advisors such as investment banks, law firms, and audit firms.

* Assist our team with building and managing a pipeline of company leads (Main Market & AIM) by using effective screening resources, identifying key contact information and assisting with outreach and follow-up communications.

* Attend pitch meetings, key industry conferences and events with Americas Primary Markets team to meet with prospective issuers and network with advisory community to help build pipeline.

* Be proactive in developing new materials from sophisticated datasets to contribute to thought leadership content and/or pitch materials.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

* Demonstrated ability(3 years +) in the relevant industry.

* Ideally, will have experience in equity capital markets or a corporate finance related and a good understanding of LSEG's core markets and business areas with a Professional Qualification a plus.

* Demonstrating a passion for capital markets and for working in a market infrastructure business environment.

* Excellent analytics skills with great attention to detail or shown success in relationship management or business development role .

* Experience in and proven relationships at corporate and founder / institutional shareholder level in the Americas a plus.

* Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.

* Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts and metrics.

* Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work flows on a timely basis.

* Experience in using Dealogic, Pitchbook, Refinitiv Workspace or Bloomberg.

* Show flexibility in relation to working hours.

* Language skills relevant to the region will be a key asset.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $61,600 - $114,600.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
