Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery and development of our expanding range of measurement products and tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project budgets, serving as the primary client contact, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support proposal generation when required.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, including identification, estimation, and scheduling of work efforts.
  • Act as the primary client contact, facilitating requirements identification and managing communications both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and conference calls as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust project schedules, including changes in priority.
  • Provide accurate and timely project status updates.
  • Resolve project-related conflicts, including technical issues, procurement issues, and scope changes.
  • Ensure the timely escalation of critical path impediments.
  • Manage the installation and deployment of existing products for customer-specific applications through the creation and execution of work plans.
  • Oversee the customization of existing KLD products and liaise between clients and company personnel in developing specifications for new products or configuring existing ones.
  • Facilitate the project hand-off to the Service department.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of work experience with 3 or more years of experience in the management of technical projects
  • Demonstrated success in managing technical projects.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and abroad.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, OneNote)

Qualifications Desired

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience working in the railway industry
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Hold a Valid driver's license
  • Foreign language skills (esp. German, French) desirable
